Welya, the webinar software built to sell: full review
Almost every webinar tool is built to broadcast. Only one is truly built to sell, and I personally know the man who built it. Here is why Welya wins, and where its job stops.

Most webinar software was designed to do what?
I don't recommend Welya because there is an affiliate link at the bottom of this page. I recommend it because I have watched the man who built it work under pressure.
I met Marvin on one of the biggest launches of my career: 240,000 leads. A number that looks great on a slide, and turns into a technical nightmare on launch day if a single piece breaks. His team ran the entire technical side of that launch, thousands of simultaneous connections, reminders, tracking, replays. While others improvised, they delivered. Nothing broke.
That is where Welya comes from. Not a product committee ticking boxes, but an insider who spent years running the webinars of the biggest French-speaking creators, then encoded everything he knew into software. Who better than an insider to build the tool for his own industry?
You feel it in the three things creators always end up mentioning:
- It never crashes. With 6,000 people live and an offer opening, stability is not a detail, it is revenue.
- Support is flawless. You are not a ticket, you have a person.
- Onboarding is done by the technical lead himself, the same one who delivers on the agency side. You are taken care of by the most capable person in the house, not a chatbot.
That is why people stay. Not for a feature, but because they found someone reliable in a business where almost no one is.
01Welya, the only platform built to sell
Where the others broadcast, Welya orchestrates engagement before, during and after the live. The waiting room is not a holding screen but an interactive sequence (quizzes, polls, countdown) that builds anticipation. The chat is gamified: the more a participant engages, the higher their status climbs. And when the offer drops, the conversion arsenal fires: live A/B testing of offers, social-proof pop-ups, customizable offers, an exit pop-up to hold the undecided.
On data, Welya surfaces 40+ behavioral signals per participant and automatic lead scoring, with heatmaps to see second by second where the audience leans in or drops off. After the event, you know who to follow up with first instead of treating everyone the same. Branding is total, access is one click in the browser, and onboarding is human, in French and English.
New: Welya's AI now pre-configures your webinar with no effort. You answer 5 questions and it creates the quizzes, polls, description and offer. All that is left is to review and adjust.
Pricing: from about €99/month up to 500 attendees, €299 up to 2,000, €499 up to 5,000. Fixed per tier, not variable with your audience, so an event's cost is known upfront. All marketing features from the first plan, free trial to test before you pay.

02Welya vs the others
A ranking where the affiliate always wins would be worthless. Here, plainly, is what each tool does best. For selling, only one ticks the decisive box: gamification and live conversion levers.
| Tool | Built for | What it brings |
|---|---|---|
| Welya#1 | Sell | Gamified chat, lead scoring, live A/B testing of offers and social proof. The only one truly built to convert. Try Welya, 10% with code whatpayment → |
| Livestorm | Broadcast | Clean, simple B2B events, but it stops where selling begins. |
| Demio | Broadcast | Great UX and long formats. CRM connectors are on the priciest plan. |
| WebinarJam | All-in-one | The engine that also powers Kartra. Simple commercial broadcasting, little gamification. |
| GoHighLevel | All-in-one | Funnel, email and CRM. The live is relayed through Zoom. |
| Webikeo | B2B audience | You rent an audience (about 600,000 members), you do not own it. |
| Zoom | Meetings | Reliable and massive, but zero selling levers. |
| Systeme.io | Budget | Evergreen (automated) webinar, no live. From about €47/month. |

03The others, tool by tool
The table gives you the map. Here is the terrain: what each platform genuinely does well, where it falls short, and who it still makes sense for.
Livestorm, clean B2B events
Browser-based access, registration, reminders and replays handled cleanly, native CRM integrations: Livestorm nails the logistics of an informational webinar. But everything stops at broadcasting: no A/B testing of offers, no social proof, no lead scoring, and the price scales with your number of active contacts. Limited free plan (30 attendees, 20 minutes), paid plans from about €110/month. The right choice for product demos and internal events, not for a launch.
Demio, polished UX for long formats
The most pleasant interface in the category: one-click access, a room in your colors, sessions up to 10 hours with 10 speakers on screen, activity heatmaps. The flip side: the connectors that matter (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo) are locked to the Premium plan, and billing is annual. The bill climbs fast too, roughly $2,352 to $3,528 per year for 500 attendees, up to twice Welya's price at comparable capacity. No native conversion levers. For organizations running long panels, not for selling live.
WebinarJam, the sales-webinar veteran
The longtime player, and the engine that also powers Kartra. Live and automated (evergreen), offer buttons you can trigger during the session, CRM integrations: the fundamentals are there and it is easy to pick up. So are the limits: a waiting room reduced to a countdown, basic chat, no A/B testing or social proof, analytics limited to attendance, and annual-only billing. A serious entry point into evergreen if your email and funnel stack already exists. Try WebinarJam →
GoHighLevel, the agency bundle
GoHighLevel is not webinar software; it is a full operating system: funnel, email, SMS, CRM, calendar. The live stream is relayed through Zoom and the webinar layer stays basic, with no gamification or scoring. You pick it for the bundle value ($97 to $497/month, everything included), not for the room: if you already pay for GHL, use what you have before adding one more subscription. We reviewed it in depth in our best funnel builders comparison. Try GoHighLevel →
Webikeo, the rented B2B audience
In a category of its own: less a piece of software than a channel. The subscription buys access to an existing professional audience of about 600,000 members, with a Customer Success Manager and a live technician included. Great for B2B visibility, but the audience is rented, not owned: if the subscription stops, so does the flow of leads. No conversion levers, and a high entry ticket: the Core suite starts around €8,990 per year before tax. For B2B companies with a real budget.
Zoom Webinar, reliability without the selling
Zoom absorbs massive audiences without flinching and everyone knows how to use it. But nothing in it is built to sell: an app to download, almost no customization, limited post-live data, zero conversion levers. Perfect for internal training, courses and large broadcasts with no marketing stakes. For a launch, it is the wrong tool, even though it looks free.
Systeme.io, the budget bridge to evergreen
The cheapest option, on one condition: accepting automation. The Webinar plan (about €47/month) adds an evergreen webinar to the rest of the suite (funnel, email, courses). That makes it the ideal bridge for a creator not yet ready to invest in a dedicated tool. No live room though, so no live launch. Systeme.io is reviewed in our funnel builders comparison. Once the tool is picked, you still have to build the funnel around it: registration page, reminder sequence, pitch structure, replay window, cart close. That is exactly what our webinar funnel playbook covers, step by step. And if you would rather run an evergreen sales video than a live event, our guide to the best VSL hosting platform reviews the player built to convert it.
Once it converts, you still have to get paid
Welya converts
Fills the room, engages and triggers the buying decision.
The processor gets paid
It alone decides whether the money lands. No webinar software touches a cent.
On launch day, fifteen sales at €997 in one evening in a coaching niche is exactly the volume spike that makes Stripe and PayPal freeze accounts. That is why so many creators point their webinar's buy button to a Whop page rather than a raw Stripe button: 2.7% + $0.30, no subscription, and Whop fights disputes for you. Welya converts, Whop gets paid.
04Frequently asked questions
Can webinar software process payments?
No, none of them, not even Welya. The platform handles registration, the room and the replay; the money moves through whatever link your buy button points to: Stripe, PayPal or a Whop page. That is a separate decision, and it is the one that determines whether the funds actually land in your account. Our payment processor comparison walks through the options.
How much does Welya cost?
Three fixed tiers: about €99/month up to 500 attendees, €299/month up to 2,000, €499/month up to 5,000. All marketing features are included from the first plan, and the trial is free with no time limit. The price does not move with your audience inside a tier: you know what an event costs before you run it.
Is there a Welya promo code?
Yes. Code whatpayment takes 10% off at checkout, on whichever tier you pick, after the free trial.
Is Zoom enough for a sales webinar?
For hosting the call, yes. For selling, no: no conversion-oriented registration page, no cart-open and cart-close automation, no gated replay, no individual attendee data. Zoom is built for meetings and training, not for a launch.
Live or automated webinar: which should come first?
Live first: plan on 3 to 5 sessions until the pitch is validated. Then you automate what has proven itself: that is the move to evergreen. Systeme.io covers evergreen on a budget, Welya handles both. The full sequence (registration, reminders, pitch, replay, cart close) is in our webinar funnel playbook.
Can Stripe or PayPal freeze my account after a webinar?
It is a real risk, not a certainty. Coaching, online education and "make money" content are classed as elevated-risk verticals, and fifteen sales at €997 in one evening is exactly the volume spike that triggers a freeze. If it has already happened, follow our recovery playbook. To avoid it, many creators take payment through a Whop page; our full Whop review covers the fees and dispute handling.
